Design Problem
Design and construct a miniature magazine, consisting of a cover, an article and interview spread, a creative piece page, and two advertisement pages.
Tools Used
Adobe Indesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, color laser printers, and traditional tools such as a xacto knife, a ruler, and staples.
I conducted research on fashion-themed magazines to gather inspiration for layout, imagery, and typography. Referencing my research and inspiration, I decided to go with the following design choices: choosing the font “Sofachrome” for the masthead, using a monotone color palette, and various handwritten fonts for the headings. My design choices created an “edgy” or alternative vibe for my magazine. The final result is a fully digitized and printed magazine for “Altmode”.
