Design Problem
Create an editorial poster for a fictitious event, along with other editorial layouts and signage.
Tools Used
Adobe Indesign and Adobe Illustrator.
I conducted research on event posters to gather inspiration for grid layouts and typographic hierarchy. My idea was to make up a fantasy ball event with a warm, welcoming feel to it. I used a purple color scheme with a touch of gold/yellow, along with the script font of the title, to emphasize the magical aspect of the event, and the illustration of the women “reaching out” to the audience to emphasize the welcoming aspect of the poster.
